Experience Mennonite Church USA's churchwide gathering as a transformed denomination July 3-8,2003, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA. There will be activities for all ages - including adults, young adults, youth, junior high youth and children. The theme, "God's table, Y'all Come" was inspired by Jonathan Larson as he told assembly planners about a dinner table used at Mennonite House in Atlanta during the Civil Rights movement in the late 1960s. The theme combines a note of southern hospitality with the invitational flavor of the missional church. Scripture reference is Luke 13:29, "The people will come from east and west, from north and south, and will eat in the kingdom of God." We hope that you will also "come" to Atlanta and find your place at God's table. Registration deadline: April 28,2003. For more information: www.Atlanta2003.org or 574-294-7523. Prayers and PraisesPray for Roy Hange as he speaks at the MMERG meetings in Cyprus on "Religion and Violence" and for his safe return on Wednesday. VMBM: After pastoring the church in Lezhë, Albania, while Paul & June Kropf were on a one-year sabbatical, Allen Umble has returned to the States for a few months. He is visiting with family and friends, speaking in congregations, taking a class, and renewing his energy. Allen will return to Lezhë in January. Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for the leaders of the Anabaptist Network in Britain that they may sense the guidance of the Holy Spirit as they translate an Anabaptist vision of Christianity into the ordinary language and experience of British people today.
