A membership class will meet on Sunday mornings during the Sunday School hour beginning December 15th. Please contact Roy Hange if you are interested in becoming a member of the church or learning more about the Mennonite Church. We will be reviewing the video series "Turning Toward Jesus" and read "A Confession of Faith in a Mennonite Perspective".

As is our tradition at CMC we want to offer our gifts for Jesus again during this Christmas season. This year we would like to focus on gifts for the church library. If you are interested in donating a book or funds towards the purchase of materials please do so throughout the month of December. We would like to focus on children's books and videos, followed by resources for SS teachers and others studying the biblical story more deeply on their own.

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: The Penny Power project that 26 congregations participated in raised $15,622 for Mennonite Central Committee and Virginia Mennonite Board of Missions. The amount that VMBM receives ($7,800) will support Norma Teles and Dan & Mary Hess and family who are serving as missionaries in Albania. Thank you for all of
the coins you gave - they really added up!

Mennonite Mission Network: Blessing and grace ripple forth
through a mission to Africa by a small congregation in Spain. By opening a children's home in Benin, West Africa, a Burgos (Spain) Mennonite Church family is demonstrating the love of Christ in
word and deed. Pray that these children eventually will contribute
to churches and society in a positive way.
