Reading based on Psalm 126

Leader: When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.

Men: Then our mouth was filled with laughter
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
Women: It was said among the nations,
"The Lord has done great things for them."
All: The Lord has done a great thing for us, and we rejoiced.
Leader: Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like the watercourses in the Negeb.

Men: May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy.
Women: May those who go out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing,
come home with shouts of joy, carrying their sheaves.
All: The Lord has done great things for us, and we rejoiced.

Announcements

Our CHURCH BUDGET continues to be behind for the year. Please consider CMC in any year end giving. Thanks,

Steve Alderfer, Stewardship Administrator

A heartfelt THANK YOU to all those who helped transform the balcony Sunday School rooms and church office.

As is our tradition at CMC we want to offer our GIFTS FOR JESUS again during this Christmas season. This year we would like to focus on gifts for the church library: children's books and videos, resources for SS teachers and others studying the biblical story more deeply on their own. If you are interested in donating a book or funds towards the purchase of materials please do so throughout the month of December.

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Karen Brunk's days at the medical clinic in Jamaica continue to be busy. She is often challenged by having more patients who wish to be seen than the hours allow. She is also enjoying the home visits-and using the Land Rover to do a little mountain climbing! People often stare when they see "Nurse" coming up those rugged mountain roads!

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for RAD (Reaching and Discipleship) staff members to give encouragement to teams currently doing outreach. As staff recruits for future teams, ask that those whom God is calling will respond in faith.
