Reading based on Psalm 89

Leader: I will sing of your steadfast love, O Lord, forever;
with my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations.

Men: I declare that your steadfast love is established forever;
your faithfulness is as firm as the heavens.
Women: You said, I have made a covenant with my chosen one;
I have sworn to my servant Davit to establish his descendants forever
and to build his throne for all generations.
Men: I have set the crown on one who is mighty,
I have exalted one chosen from the people.
Women: I have anointed my servant David with holy oil; my hand shall
always remain with him; my arm also shall strengthen him.
Men: The enemy shall not outwit him,
Women: the wicked shall not humble him.
ALL: MY FAITHFULLNESS AND STEADFAST LOVE SHALL BE WITH HIM; AND IN MY NAME HIS HORN SHALL BE EXALTED.

Our CHURCH BUDGET continues to be behind for the year. Please consider CMC in any year end giving. Thanks,
Steve Alderfer, Stewardship Administrator

As is our tradition at CMC we want to offer our GIFTS FOR JESUS again during this Christmas season. This year we would like to focus on gifts for the church library: children's books and videos, resources for SS teachers and others studying the biblical story more deeply on their own. If you are interested in donating a book or funds towards the purchase of materials please do so throughout the month of December.

Prayers and Praises

The SHINSKY FAMILY is very thankful for all the prayers and thoughts during the last weeks after Jerry's accident. They had the good news that a number of follow up tests for Jerry this last week on his broken wrist and nose showed that both should heal well without complications. Please continue in prayer for Jerry as he continues to deal with the trauma of having been involved in a deadly accident even though it was not his fault. Please also pray for them as a family as they are traveling this weekend to visit Elaine's family.

VMBM: Deb Kilheffer and Sonya Harnish, missionaries with Eastern Mennonite Missions who collaborate with VMBM, are completing two years of service in Albania this week. Pray for them as they travel on Thursday and as they make the transition back to life in the United States.

Mennonite Mission Network: During this season pray for Christmas celebrations taking place in many cultures around the world. May the good news of Christ's birth be clearly understood in whatever manner it is presented.
