God's Nomads: Stars and Promises
August 17-21st

PRE-REGISTRATION
We ask that you register your child for VBS. And please be sure to invite a friend! Deadline: August 10th. Come to the Church of the Brethren, 1225 Rio Road East, on Friday, August 15 to enjoy some Pizza while setting up the rooms for the Vacation Bible School this year. Please let Maren know by August 13 if you are planning to come so we know how much Pizza to order.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Activity leaders, shepherds, actors, song leader, snack makers and lesson leader. Please consider how you can be a part of this year's Vacation Bible School. Let Maren know how you can help.

SUPPLIES NEEDED!
If you are able to supply any of things from this list, please bring it to the Christian Education room or deliver to the Church of the Brethren at 1225 Rio Road E. by August 10th please address questions to Katie Dovel at; 244-0642 or dovel@charlottesville.org We are looking for the following:

We are excited to announce a coffee house/concert featuring Brad Yoder and Jon Nafziger, August 24 at 7 pm at Charlottesville Mennonite Church. Come, bring your friends, spread the word and enjoy!

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Pray for Tom & Karen Yoder and their sons as they
complete their summer of service in Kosovo. Pray that they will
be able to continue to build relationships with the Kosovar people.

Mennonite Mission Network: Kaz and Lois Enomoto, Tokyo, Japan, request prayer for the children's ministry at Yayoidai church this summer. Pray that Vacation Bible School and a family camp will help to build relationships.

Praise God for the Jubilee Sunday school materials in Portuguese being used by more than half of the 38 Mennonite churches in Brazil. Pray for mission worker Betty Hochstetler and the ongoing preparation of the three-year curriculum.

Pray for Mennonite Voluntary Service worker Travis Yutzy as he ministers to children through Sports 4 Kids, which provides sports activities and instruction in San Francisco's inner city schools.

Pray for Cliff and Natasha Dueck as they plan children's camp in Ukraine. Pray that the children and youth will come to know Christ.
