Please place the 32nd annual Crop Walk on your calendar for Sunday afternoon, October 12. The CROP WALK will follow a 10 km route which starts and ends at First Presbyterian Church. 25% of the funds raised go to Charlottesville Community Meals on Wheels and Emergency Food Bank and 75% go to Church World Service. If anyone is interested in organizing a group from our church, there is a meeting this afternoon at 4pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Maurita Eberly recently returned to Virginia after spending the summer in Italy. Maurita used her gift in music to teach and make music fun for children at Bible school. She taught 19 children during "Settimana Felice," which means "Happy Week." Almost all of the parents attended the children's performance on Saturday evening and stayed for a while to chat.

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for the new group of volunteers who have just completed the Mennonite Voluntary Service orientation this past week. Through MVS units, they will be joining local congregations in service to their communities.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Foodbank and the Salvation Army.
