A big thank you to all the children who contributed their coins to the Penny Power jar. Our total came to $ 121.60. (Almost double last years) The total amount from 27 participating churches came to $13,117.84.

This week at women's fellowship we plan to work on Christmas cards. Bring your ideas, stamps, inks, colored paper or just yourself and have some fun together.

A Gospel Concert featuring the Sunset Mountain Boys and the Harrisonburg Mennonite Men's Quartet will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, October 25, at the Harrisonburg Mennonite Church. A freewill offering will benefit the Family Life Resource Center.

Prayers and Praises

VMBM: Jason & Donna Martin's oldest daughter, Emily, is in first grade in Bari, Italy. She is attending a new school with a new teacher and new classmates. The Martins are excited about the relationships with other families that they have begun to establish. Pray that people would see Jesus in them and begin to hunger and thirst for God.

Mennonite Mission Network: Pray for strength and spiritual vitality for mission worker Linda Oyer in France, as she gives input at a weekend retreat Oct.17-19 in Strasbourg. Linda has many opportunities this fall to teach in churches and train people for ministry.

Pray for the local services for people in need: Love Inc., Shelter for Help in Emergency, Foodbank and the Salvation Army.
