O God, we enter your gates
with thanksgiving and
come into your courts with praise.

In Jesus Christ you portrayed the extent of your love,
as he gave his life a ransom for many.

We are taught to wait patiently and be still,
that you may speak.

Quiet our longing to be like others
and make us content with the word
that Christ calls us as we are.
